When a portrait is initiated, I will personally take photographs of the subject. This session takes from one to two hours. This photo session ensures that I have an excellent photo with favorable lighting, which makes a huge difference in the end result. If you would like a portrait with two subjects (husband and wife, siblings etc.) simply add fifty percent to the prices above. I do not charge double. In some situations, I will agree to paint or draw a portrait from an existing photograph, when it is not possible for the subject to attend a portrait session. Generally, the results will be much more satisfactory when I have taken the photographs. When a reference photo is agreed upon, I begin the portrait.
